The Aim of the Conference

The aim of the conference is to analyze the potential that educational research (both academic-oriented and practitioner-oriented) can have in initiating educational changes that would lead to greater justice in this subsystem and society as a whole. The overarching theme of equity will be concretized through the analysis of various problems in contemporary education, such as class inequalities, gender inequality, or the challenges of inclusion. The analysis will focus on examining the contribution of educational research to overcoming these problems at different levels, from the macro level of educational policies, through the school climate at the meso level, to the level of the classroom and teaching practices.

• Power, ideology, and education;

• Social class and educational inequalities;
